Kyoko Takeuchi’s sophomore solo exhibition at Gallery Anderson Smith takes place in early February 2026. Within Takeuchi's work, viewers are transported to a liminal, ethereal space where gold leaf embellishments upon the void of canvas provoke the deepest and most human questions we can muster. After being awarded the prestigious 2024-2025 Emerging Artist Award by The Mayor's Office of Cultural Affairs of Atlanta, Kyoko Takeuchi's newest body of work is not only critically acclaimed but artistically elevated. 

From Takeuchi: "I am excited to present new works from the Emotional Stem series, which I have been creating since 2018. Emotional Stem serves as a diary that shapes my emotions into art. I invite you to join me on a journey to explore the complexity and beauty of our inner selves through the concept of "Emotional Stem." I hope to help you discover your own emotional stem."

The opening reception begins at 7PM, and will include a special preformance by the artist at 8PM.
